Description![]() ![]() Mihály Borbély, the versatile multiinstrumentalist is equally active participant of various folk and world music, jazz and contemporary music groups. Through his career in addition to clarinet and saxophone he has specialised in playing unusual wind instruments (tárogató, folk flutes, kaval, dvojnice, fujara, ocarina, bombard, zurna). Mihály Dresch is one of the most interesting jazz and folk musicians on the current Budapest scene. Specifically his merger of the American free-jazz tradition with elements of traditional Hungarian folk has led to inspired, unexpected pieces of modern music. Over the years Dresch and his musicians have played and recorded with such artists as John Tchicai, Archie Shepp, Roscoe Mitchell, Chico Freeman, David Murray, Hamid Drake and Dewey Redman. Two great musicians who play various kinds of contemporary, classical, free and etno jazz and create an absolutely new genre and quality of music. Mihály Borbély – saxophone, Mihály Dresch – saxophone, Balázs Horváth – double bass, István Baló – drums Tickets: 1400 HUF / student: 1000 HUF
